Kasa Smart Plug Power Strip HS300 by TP-Link

I have used this six outlet WiFi enabled power strip/surge protector in my office for almost two years. I'm a big fan and here's why:

  1. Outlets can be individually named and controlled manually via a push button next to the outlet.

  2. Outlets can be controlled via Alexa or Google Home. I use Alexa. With voice control I have the ability to power up outlets with AC adapters plugged in. Those "wall warts" cover the push button switch next to the outlet, but all I have to do is tell Alexa to turn on the appropriate outlet.

  3. Outlets can be programmed with a schedule.

  4. The strip supports Scenes with all other Kasa devices you may deploy in your home.

  5. Outlets can be programmed in Away mode, so they randomly turn lamps or other devices on/off to simulate "at home" activity.

  6. Though I rarely use it, each outlet tracks its energy use and shows data for the current day, past seven days, and past 30 days.

  7. The outlet strip contains three USB connections for charging your phone/table, etc.

  8. The strip has never failed to reconnect to WiFi correctly after a power outage or router restart.

  9. There's a Kasa app that allows setup and control of all Kasa devices.
