Easily Zoom Google and Apple Maps

We all know the pinch methods for zooming on your Apple device, but here’s an easier way to zoom in Google and Apple maps apps.

in Google, double tap the map, but on the second tap keep your finger on the screen. Slide up to zoom out or down to zoom in. This also works if you use a mouse with your iPad.

The same trick works with Apple Maps, except it zooms opposite from Google Maps – sliding up zooms in and sliding down zooms out. Also, Apple hasn’t matched Google with zooming using a mouse. It just doesn’t work.

BTW, a double tap alone, without holding that second tap, zooms in the area in which you double tapped.
